The 1st Specialized Section of the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region upheld, on Monday (8), unanimously, the arrest of former Deputy Thiego Raimundo dos Santos Silva, Th Joias (former MDB), and 13 arrested 13S in Operation Zargun, launched last week.
TH Jewelry is accused of intermediating the purchase and sale of weapons to the Red Commandmain criminal faction of the state. He was arrested in a luxury condominium in Barra da Tijuca, a neighborhood in the west of the city.
According to the investigations, Th Joias has a direct connection with leaders of the Red Command in the Complex of German, Maré and Lucas Parada. In addition to intermediating the purchase and sale of weapons, such as rifles, TH Jewelry negotiated drugs and anti -ron equipment, to hinder police action in the territories occupied by the criminal faction.
In the decision, Federal Judge Macario Neto stressed that the former state deputy and his wife, Jessica de Oliveira Lima, moved more than $ 13 millionbetween 2021 and 2023. Jessica’s accounts concentrated most of the couple’s relevant financial movements, with values ranging from $ 440,000 to $ 1.9 million.
“Financial institutions have pointed to movements incompatible with their financial capacity, as well as rapid evasion of values, fragmented deposits and use of self -service terminals to circumvent the identification of the referrals.”
The rapporteur also lists that Jessica shares her bank access with Th Jeias, suggesting that he is responsible for controlling the accounts. “All have a high degree of hazardousness, extreme capacity for articulation and, above all, a history of direct and indirect interference in the administration of justice, either through coercion, systemic corruption of public agents or transfer of privileged information, all focused on perpetuation and expansion of criminal activity,” said the judge.
