Condemned sergeant of the FARD who raped and pregnant minor in SDE

A court in Santo Domingo Este sentenced 20 years in prison to the Sergeant of the Armed Forces of the Dominican Republic (FARD), Otilio Cabrera García, after being found guilty of raping and pregnancy a 12 -year -old girl.

The sentence was issued after the Public Ministry will present evidence that demonstrated criminal responsibility of the accusedincluding testimonies, expert opinions, psychological evaluations and documentary evidence.

According to the file, the incident occurred in the Los Frailes II sector, on March 20, 2024. The complaint was filed on May 21 of that year, under number 3254, after the child presented discomforts and was taken to a medical center, where He confirmed pregnancy through clinical analysis.

  • During the judicial process, the victim reported that he was sexually assaulted by the defendant while he was in the courtyard of his house, and that he prevented him from asking for help.

Will serve in Najayo

The conviction, issued by Judges Elizabeth Esperanza Rodríguez Espinal (President), Flor E. Batista Polo and José Leonel Asencio Quezada, of the First Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo Este, must be fulfilled at the Center for Correction and Rehabilitation (CCR) Najayo Men, in the San Cristóbal province.
