Fredy Calvache, Caucano journalist who battled against a stomach cancer, He died on August 29 at a hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. Since then, their loved ones sought help from the Colombian government to repatriate the body so that the rest of their relatives could give him the last goodbye in his homeland in the El Hato village, rural area of the municipality of Timbío, Cauca.

Thanks to a management of the Colombian Embassy in Switzerland and the disposition of the Avianca airline, the last will of Fredy Calvache will be fulfilled and soon their mortal remains will move to Colombia. From exile, the Colombian journalist Eduardo Manzano confirmed that the repatriation process has already started: “It is expected that Wednesday arrives at Popayán and will be received by relatives.”
