The National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) reported that the former president Alejandro Toledo fthat moved this morning from the Barbadillo penalty to a local clinic for a scheduled medical appointment.
The institution pointed out that it guarantees respect for the rights of the penitentiary population. “In compliance with the Resolution of the Constitutional Court, the inmate Alejandro Toledo was transferred today to the San Pablo Clinic for a scheduled medical appointment,” the INPE said through its X account.
INPE declared in part the lawsuit filed by Toledo Manrique for a violation of the rights to health and personal integrity.
The ex -president is held in the Barbadillo prison establishment, located in ATE, where he serves a sentence of 20 years and 6 months in prison.
Last Wednesday, 13 years and 4 months in prison were dictated by the Ecoteva case, when being found responsible for the crime of aggravated money laundering, for the acquisition of a home and an office in groove with resources that would come from the alleged payment of bribes.
