The permanence of dry air masses in the interior of the country and the low strength of the polar mass that hit the South and Southeast regions prevented the change of dry climate in the interior of the country. This Sunday (7), the Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo updated the alerts for the risk of burning, especially critical conditions throughout the interior of São Paulo. 
According to the warning, the situation is critical, with risk considered emergency, throughout the North, Northeast, Northwest and West Paulistas, between this Sunday (7) and Thursday (11). On the 12th, the conditions begin to improve, descending to the alert level and, in the Campinas region, high -risk. The standard used by the agency establishes four levels: low, high, alert and emergency, the least conducive to the most dangerous fires.
The interior of the country, especially in the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Tocantins and Bahia, has a warning for low air humidity (below 12%) in force today, issued by Inmet. These alerts have been repeated in recent weeks, both with fires care recommendations and health conditions, especially children and adolescents.
The interior of São Paulo has been in a situation of attention to burning since the beginning of the dry season, in May. This year, the best moisture conditions and the preventive performance of firefighters and the Civil Defense had good results, with about 70% of burning and fires, one of the best results in the country.
In general, states have had a decrease in outbreaks and burned areas when compared to 2023 and 2024, which in turn were atypical years. Causes include integrated work between national and state prevention and combat teams and increased inspection and unauthorized burning penalties.
