The Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, accused the United States of seeking an “internal implosion” in the country through a “psychoterror” strategy, similar to that used during the economic war.
During an interview conducted in the Pulse program, the prosecutor said that these attempts have failed due to the “iron unit” of the Venezuelan people. “The tactics used by the extreme right seek to generate social chaos, through actions such as” hurried purchases, kilometric queues “and the confinement of the population in their homes. However, he said that these efforts have not achieved their objective, nor have they caused a break in the country.
The prosecutor stressed that, unlike the plans of the US government, there is currently a “greater institutional, civil, military and police unity” that “there was never in the country.”
“How do you think that at a time they thought that Venezuela is these countries that have dominated to kick?” Saab said.
In addition, he emphasized that Venezuela is heiress of the struggles of heroes such as Bolívar, Sucre, Anzoátegui and Miranda.
Saab stressed that the attempts to generate mass looting or an uncontrolled migration have been defeated, which demonstrates the cohesion and resistance of the different powers and sectors of the country, including popular power and civil power.
