The Oenegé reported that of the total of femicides that occurred in the first half of the year, seven were in January, twelve in February, while in March and April they registered fifteen in each, as well as twelve in May and fifteen in June in June
At least 76 women were victims of feminicide in Venezuela between the months of January and June 2025, as reported on Friday, September 5, the Utopix Oenegé.
According to the NGO report, of the total femicides that occurred in the first half of the year, seven were in January, twelve in February, while in March and April they registered fifteen in each, as well as twelve in May and fifteen in June.
Utopix said that, of the fifteen femicides of June, three were in the Aragua state (north), two in Miranda (north) and the same number in Barinas and Apure (west). They are followed by Carabobo and La Guaira (North), as well as in the Capital District, Anzoátegui (Este), Mérida and Zulia (west), with one each.

In addition, the NGO indicated that in June it accounted for 15 frustrated feminicides in Venezuela and 16 murders of Venezuelan women abroad, in countries such as Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Chile, Spain, Colombia and Ecuador.
Utopix reiterated that it is “imperative” to demand from the Venezuelan State and society in general “urgent actions” against gender violence and denounce “the impunity that many times protects these aggressors.”
In this sense, he considered “essential the development of a feminist emergency plan for the prevention, attention and mitigation of gender violence against women, girls and adolescents” in Venezuela.
In 2024, Venezuela received 845 complaints and requests related to gender violence, according to a report presented last March by the Ombudsman’s Office.
