Who is Eduardo Torres-Llosa, the new general manager of the BCR?

Torres-Llosa, who will replace Javier Olivera, has a degree in economics from the Universidad del Pacífico and, among other studies abroad, has an MBA from KU Leuven, a university located in Belgium.

Unlike his predecessor, who is a career civil servant at the BCR, Torres-LLosa has a long history in the private sector, having been CEO of BBVA for 12 years until 2019.

He was also part of the BBVA Group since 1996 and held positions such as general manager of BBVA Fondos Continental.

As part of his professional experience, he also counts having been president of the Cosapi board of directors and having been president of the Committee of General Managers of the Association of Banks of Peru (Asbanc).

In addition, he has published the book (Connect/Penguin Random House).
