Venezuelan authorities have seized more than 56,000 kilos of different types of drugs so far from 2025.
“We have seized 56,227,558 kilograms of different drugs in 5,442 procedures and where 6,639 people have been arrested,” said the National Anti -Drug Superintendent Mayor Mayor Mayor, Danny Ferrer Sandrea, during broadcast No. 3 of the radio program National Anti -Drug Superintendence always with you.
In this regard, he pointed out that those deprived of liberty 6,545 are Venezuelans and 94 foreigners. “There are 88 Colombians, two from Latvia, one from Santa Lucía, a Guyanés, a Cuban and a German,” he said.
He highlighted the advances and achievements in the fight against illicit drug trafficking, which has consolidated the commitment of the Venezuelan State in this matter.
“These operations are carried out with professionalism, ethics and respect for human rights, guaranteeing transparency and commitment to the well -being of the Venezuelan people,” said the Superintendent.
He stressed that these actions are possible thanks to the joint work of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, citizen security agencies and the institutions of the Venezuelan State.
Finally, he reaffirmed the commitment of the National Government in the fight against drugs, through the National Anti-Drug Plan 2026-2031, which is designed to strengthen public policies in prevention, control of capital legitimation and chemical regulation.
“We will continue working tirelessly to guarantee a free Venezuela from these threats and protect the well -being of our people,” he said.
