The document was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) this Thursday, September 4. It is the main health plan in the field of health, since it establishes the objectives and priorities of the government for the sector.
There are no details about the creation of the registration. But the Secretariat also plans to work on strengthening the infrastructure of the cold network, used for the management, protection and distribution of vaccines.
As well as leaving the lag in vaccination coverage, which have fallen in recent years, through national immunization campaigns, specific vaccination programs within each health institution and actions for risk populations.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has considered that electronic vaccination nominal records are useful for “the monitoring of each person’s vaccination schemes and the maintenance of their vaccination history.”
“There is evidence that records are cost-effective tools that help increase coverage, improve the opportunity of vaccination, reduce revaccination due to lack of verification and provide reliable data for decision making, such as, for example, where to go to look for people not vaccinated,” he explains in a document.
Often, records include demographic data, such as residence, contact, identification. They also contain information about the vaccines they receive: date, dose, vaccination place and who applied applied them.
The processing of this information facilitates the active collection of unvacing people in time or lagging, adds the body.
The sector program also includes an increase in infrastructure and installed health capacity, with 27 new hospitals projected to 2030. Some will be built by the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).
