The mayor of Surco, Carlos Bruceshowed his support for Lima-Chosic Trainpromoted by the mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliaga. The burgomaster highlighted the need for the capital to have a mass transport system.

Carlos Brucewho has expressed his intention to apply for mayor of Lima, indicated that, although the Caltrain trains They are “a little old men,” he said they can be used.
“The train that we should have from Callao to Chosica is a goal, without any doubt. (…) We have already made an expense for them. They are trains a little old men, but they still serve. I think they are equipment that must be used,” he said.
Carlos Bruce He indicated that he supports the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) in terms of project security aspects. In that sense, he emphasized that the journey “has to be sure that pedestrians are not going to cross.”
“I give the reason to the MTC in a way, that you have to be careful. If we are going to make a train of a line, you have to be sure that the pedestrians are not going to cross, that the intersection with the vehicles is clearly marked and regulated so that there are not accidents,” he said.
However, he said he shares with the mayor “that this line has to come true at some point.”
“(López Aliaga) is a person who likes to start projects, do things. In that heat we have had some friction, but they have been overcome because it is a working relationship so that the town of Lima is the beneficiary,” he culminated.
