The VIII Meeting of Cantoras she and I will be this time dedicated to Marta Valdés and Eduardo Sosa, outstanding exponents of the author’s song in Cuba.
At a press conference, the organizers of this festival, chaired by the singer -songwriter Heidi Igualada, announced that from September 10 to 14 the troubadour music will be re -informed with songs by Cuban and Deespaña creators, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile.
The headquarters of the event will be the theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts, where the main concert will be held, but the National Museum of Music, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the Strawberry and Chocolate Cultural Center will also work, among other institutions.
The documentary will be projected Time sovereignof the filmmakers Juan Carlos Travieso and Raúl Nogués, dedicated to Marta Valdés. Tribute will also be paid to Eduardo Sosa, a leading troubadour born in Santiago de Cuba and died in February of this year.
