The Cuban GM Carlos Daniel Albornoz sealed on Thursday without defeats its passage through the International Open Tournament of Chess Virgin of Valencia, in Spainto fulfill the forecasts winning the crown.
In the town of Vioño de Piélagos the Agramontino signed an excellent performance to round the 7.5 unattainable points for the rest of the contestants, according to a Report of the sports portal Hit.

In his duel of the last date the Cuban defeated the host Marcos Rodríguez, and thus completed his seventh success in the fair, including one before the also gm host David Lariño
One of the two pulses in the leader of the Cuban ranking – coefficient of 2546 units – could not get the victory, had another GM, his compatriot Lelys Martínez on the other side of the board.

The same formula defined that Lelys, with a similar accumulated and without losing in the right one, occupied the fourth position after his options to end at the vanguard decayed with the matters achieved in the last two rounds.

The contest also had the presence of the Yaniela Forgas and Amanda Muñiz. The first took six points that placed it on step 14 of a list of 101 participants, the publication requires.
Amanda had a good start, marked by the victory over Lariño on the sixth day, but two losses at the closing left him in the 31st place, with five units in his total.
Now the look of the chess followers will focus on the Euskadi 2025 International Master Tournament, which between 12 and 18 of the current month will host the town of Sestao, with confirmed presence of Albornoz.
More than 150 players representing 21 countries, 13 of them with GM title, will encourage a good level and promises exciting days.
