The sectorial vice president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that Venezuela maintains a firm and frontal policy against drug trafficking, and stressed that the country does not produce drugs, does not have processing laboratories, and that traffic for its territory is practically non -existent.
“Here we give it even even,” said Cabello, and emphasized the commitment of the Venezuelan State with the eradication of any activity related to drug trafficking.
He added: “If you want, they give us that mission to us and we go to the Pacific to see how we stick to drug trafficking”, in reference to the lack of action in other regions of the continent.
In contrast, he pointed out that the United States is the main drug consumer worldwide, which calls on its moral authority to issue judgments on other countries in drug trafficking.
In that context, Cabello denounced that Colombian journalist Vicky Dávila would be linked to interest associated with drug trafficking, and said there are evidence in this regard. However, he questioned that the United States Government remains indifferent to these accusations, which shows a double standard in the issue.
