The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, led yesterday, in the spaces of the Polyhedro of Caracas, of the car parish, the act of flag of the communal squads, as well as the militias in the parish parishes in the framework of the defense of the homeland.
“Today is a historic day and it is a day of homeland. From Caracas we are giving national example that is from the territory and from the communes the defense,” Meléndez said.
He also stressed that within the framework of the call to the unity of President Nicolás Maduro, “we have to be ready and lend to any call, that’s why we are preparing,” he said.
For his part, the head of government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, celebrated the enlistment process. “For two weekends we have seen what has been one of the most beautiful actions of our people,” he emphasized.
