The electoral magistrate Gilberto de Guzmán Bátiz García, who as of November will assume the presidency of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF), acknowledged that it reaches an instance in which, the more members have, “there is greater complexity”, but stressed that it is a plenary “with professionals of the exercise of the jurisdictional function”.
Interviewed after the installation of the Plenary of the Superior Chamber, he said ready to “be eloquent in the determinations” to be taken. After joining through a different mechanism to the rest of the magistrates – in their case it was through popular vote – he said he adds to consolidate a democratic mandate.
“We have to be very clear that justice is a continuous act; justice has not rested and, in particular, in the integration of this collegiate body has the strength, and the pillars of the five members who already had the position and that they will have to perform it for two more years,” he said after the solemn session held yesterday afternoon.
After the closure of the judicial electoral process, he indicated that he arrives in his charge “with the will of the Mexicans manifests”, which led him to give protest to the Senate of the Republic last Monday.
“I reach an integrated plenary and, like every collegiate body, the elements are different and always, the more members, there is greater complexity. But it also strengthens that I reached a plenary with professionals of the exercise of the jurisdictional function. That is the most important thing,” he added.
Also, he spoke for promoting austerity in court, but clarified that it is not only reflected in the payroll, but in many other edges of the institution itself.
