The Strongest maintains undefined unemployment by salary debts and puts its leadership at risk

The crisis in The Strongest is sharpened. The players, who were summoned to resume training this Wednesday, communicated to the coaching staff that they will not appear because the club president, Daniel Terrazas, did not fulfill his promise to cancel at least one salary until Friday, August 29.

The discomfort is not new. Last Sunday, August 24, a day after beating GV San José (2-1) for the 18th day of the Professional Division Leaguethe squad was declared unemployed indefinite by debts. Although on Tuesday 26 they provisionally lifted the measure to play the Cup classic, Terrazas again committed to paying in that week, something that finally did not happen.

“He asked us to return tomorrow (Wednesday) in the afternoon to training, but we are not going to do it.”said a player, who also assured: “They did not pay the colleagues who owe them four months, although they are few; then less will pay us to those who owe us three months, that we are the majority.”

The discomfort of soccer players grows, not only for accumulated debts three to four months in some cases but also for what they describe as “lies” of the president, whom they accuse of being missing.

Meanwhile, El Tigre, leader of the tournament with 43 points, could see his campaign compromised if he does not find a solution before facing Aurora on Sunday, September 14. Always Ready follows it closely with 40 units, while Bolívar and Blooming share third place with 34.
