Coronavirus in Uruguay: eight deaths this Tuesday, 1,752 new cases, and 93 patients in ICU

Uruguay registered this Tuesday 1,752 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 9,187 analyses, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).

What’s more, there were eight deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, between 48 and 86 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020 until now, 7,059 deaths with the disease have been registered.

There are 12,914 active cases across the country and 93 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total number of positives who are experiencing the disease, 255 correspond to health personnel.

Of the 1,752 new cases, 843 are from Montevideo, 240 from Canelones, 91 from Colonia, 67 from Maldonado, 62 from San José, 54 from Treinta y Tres, 51 from Lavalleja, 49 from Florida, 38 from Cerro Largo, 37 from Rocha , 37 from Tacuarembó, 31 from Rivera, 27 from Durazno, 27 from Paysandú, 27 from Salto, 23 from Artigas, 23 from Río Negro, 18 from Soriano and 7 from Flores.

All departments report infected people this Tuesday and Montevideo leads in number of active cases, with 6,191. follow him cannelloni (1888), Maldonado (683) and Cologne (665).
