To relieve that load, The National Pension Administrator (Colpensiones) It offers funeral assistance, a monetary benefit aimed at those who assumed these expenses after the death of an affiliate or pensioner for old age or disability. How long can you be afraid of assigning help?
It is a subsidy that provides significant financial assistance and that, despite its importance, remains little known and is often not used by those who really need it.
Once the requirements are met and all the documentation is presented correctly, the process of recognition and disbursement of funerary aid has an estimated time of two (2) months to activate.
During this period, the entity performs requirements, analyzes the supports delivered and issues a resolution. In case of being approved, the money is turned directly to the bank account of the previously authorized applicant in the form.
It is important to remember that the beneficiary can request to be notified electronically to expedite the process. If the aid is not recognized, there may be a right of petition or initiate a formal process to request the review of the case.

How much is the value of aid?
The Ministry of Justice and the Law of Colombia IIt was notable that its value is equivalent to the last base salary of the deceased affiliate or the last pension countertop received, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 monthly legal minimum wages in force. What are the fundamental requirements?
1. Original identification document of the applicant.
2. Civil Registration of Affiliate or Pensioner Death, issued no more than three months ago.
3. Invoice of funeral expenses with canceled seal, indicating who made the payment and description of the services provided.
4. Certification issued by the funeral home provided by the service.
5. Preexequial contract, if existing.
6. Letter of authorization of the heirs, if the collection is done by a single person.
7. Payment account format, with bank information to consign the aid.
8. If the procedure is carried out by an authorized third party, authorization letter with specific powers and the citizenship cards of the authorized and of which the authorization grants.
