Núñez announced on his social networks that he left his position at the bank and thanked for the support he obtained from Ana Botín, global director of the bank; to Héctor Grisi, CEO of the group globally; A Nitin Prabhu, the head of digital consumption banking at a global level, and Felipe García Ascencio, CEO of Santander in Mexico.
“After 30 years in Santander Group in Argentina, Spain, and the last 10 spectacular in Mexico, I close a cycle that has been full of learning, growth and above all, teams and people who have supported me and have allowed me to reach where I am,” Núñez published in his social networks.
The figures to June of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) referred that the bank’s collection is 1,459 million pesos.
It has not been announced who will be the new head of the Digital Bank.
New OpenBank insurance
OpenBank also announced the incorporation of two new products: insurance that covers all digital purchases against robbery or accidental damage during the 30 days after its acquisition and another in which the customer receives a refund if the product that bought online low 30 days later.
OpenBank customers can already incorporate their card to Google Wallet, so that the payment is only made by approaching the cell phone to the terminals, in addition to using other functions in the app such as payment is services, the creation of sections and monitoring of expenses.
In addition to Mexico, OpenBank also operates in other countries such as Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States.
