In addition, he recalled that the three metropolis: Mexico City (5), Guadalajara (4) and Monterrey (4) will be the venues that will house a total 13 World Cup games. Mexico will be the first country in history organized by three World Cup editions with those of 1970 and 1986. The 2026 Cup will also be the largest in history, with 48 selections, 104 games and three host nations.

According to calculations presented by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), the tournament will generate around 3,000 million dollars in Mexico. In the tourism sector, revenues are expected for more than 1,000 million dollars, derived from the 5.5 million visitors who will arrive in the country. In addition, the FMF anticipates the creation of 24,000 jobs and the investment of about 200 million dollars in stadium improvements.
