The government of President-elect Gabriel Boric will begin with the Armed Forces on the streets. This, because this Tuesday the Senate Chamber approved the extension of the validity of the constitutional State of Exception in the provinces of Biobío, Arauco, Cautín and Malleco.
In the future Executive they were already resigned to the fact that in the last days of the government of President Sebastián Piñera a new extension of 15 days was processed in the south, due to the violence in the area, because although the message delivered is that it will not be renewed measure, the last extension ended on March 11, the day of the change of command.

In addition, they do not take a dim view of the fact that the measure is extended for 15 days, so that the departure of the Armed Forces. not immediately but gradually. And, in case the acts of violence do not go down, it will be a dart of criticism that the outgoing administration will receive.
Specifically, the measure was approved by 18 votes in favor, 15 against and one abstention, which corresponded to the president of the Upper House, Ximena Rincón. Meanwhile, the key verdict in favor was from the Christian Democratic senator, Carolina Goic.
The measure will come into force from March 11, until the 26th, which corresponds to the first 15 days of government of the future president Gabriel Boric.
It is not the only area of the country where there will be members of the Armed Forces, because in the northern part of the country, where there is a migration crisis, the State of Exception was extended until March 17.
