The Government of Cuba showed on Monday its support for the initiative for global governance presented by China and valued that it is committed to the “democratization of international relations.”
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez applauded on social networks the proposal launched by the Chinese president, Xi Jinpingwithin the framework of the Shanghái Cooperation Organization (OCS) that concludes this Monday in Tianjin (Northeast of China).
“We highlight the merit of this effort that promotes the democratization of international relations and constitutes the common aspiration of the global south,” said Cuba Foreign Minister.
XI, when presenting this initiative, said the OCS must “To advocate for an equitable and orderly world order” and a “fairer and more reasonable” global governance system.
He also urged the block to defend “an inclusive globalization” and “the multilateral trade system” with the World Trade Organization (WTO) as “central axis”, after the commercial war unleashed by the United States.
The Chinese president also recommended that the OCS “opposes the mentality of the Cold War, the confrontation between sides and intimidation”, before leaders such as the presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin, India, Narendra Modi, and Iran, Masud Peeshkian.
