Nicolás Maduro warns “armed struggle” of completing US aggressions

Nicolás Maduro said the two conversation channels with US officials “are spoiled,” although they hope they recover. He accused the US Secretary of State, of promoting a “regime change” in the country through military aggression

Nicolás Maduro warned on Monday, September 1, on a “period of armed struggle” of completing “aggressions” by the United States in search of a “regime change” in the country that, he said, promotes the secretary of state of the United States, Marco Rubio.

«If Venezuela were attacked immediately to the period of armed struggle in defense of the national territory and the people of Venezuela. We would declare constitutional the republic in arms, from north to south, from east to west, to guarantee peace and sovereignty, ”said Maduro in a news conference with international media from the Miraflores Palace.

In any circumstance we will guarantee the stability of the country, said Maduro, who pointed to Rubio and “Miami mafias” of having “taken political control” of the White House and the State Department to impose “maximum pressure” to certain governments of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Maduro and Relationships with the US

Nicolás Maduro said that “all conversation channels, dialogue and diplomats” are always open, although he said that the two channels with US officials “are spoiled.”

He pointed out that one of those conversation routes is with the US ambassador for Venezuela, John McNamara, whom he said was in the country in July when a group of 10 Americans arrested by Venezuelan migrants under arrest in El Salvador was delivered.

“That is a channel, his chief you know who he is, the State Department, with them we coordinate the basics, what he can coordinate and how far he can coordinate,” said Maduro.

The other channel that is always open, said Maduro, includes the special envoy of the White House Richard Grenell.

Ships in the Caribbean

The Chavista leader said at his press conference that Venezuela “is facing the greatest threat that has been seen in our continent in the last 100 years,” and denounced that eight military ships “with 1,200 missiles” are near the Venezuelan coasts.

Militia combat units

Nicolás Maduro also announced the creation of “Militanian Combat Communal Units”, which will be incorporated into the 8.2 million militiamen grouped in the 15,751 popular bases of the country, he said.

More than two weeks ago, he ordered to mobilize 4.2 million militiamen and after two days of enlistment he now mentioned that the country has four million militiamen. On the enlistment he informed that from now on it will be “permanent”, although he left the details of the points in the hands of the vice president of Cy Rodríguez.

He added that in these so -called Popular Bases of Integral Defense, “to reorganize the 8.2 million Venezuelans and Venezuelans who are enlisted in the militia that will give us a mobilization capacity to guarantee peace.”
