The new brand of the federal government, with a new slogan, was presented on Friday (29) during a meeting with organizations and entities of the Communication System of Government (SICOM), in the Planalto Palace. The advertising pieces will bring the phrase “Government of Brazil – on the side of the Brazilian people” in place of “union and reconstruction”, adopted at the beginning of the government.
The Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic, Sidônio Palmeira, explained that the previous slogan translated well the spirit and work of the early years of the Lula administration.
“Now we live in a new phase, where our country, our economy and the population’s achievements live external threats. Our goal is to show that this government has a side of the Brazilian people,” said Palmeira.
Another change in the brand is the replacement of the expression “federal government” with “Government of Brazil”. According to the minister, change makes the language simpler and more direct and allows the population to better identify with the government.
The new brand will be used from the coming days in all advertising and institutional communication of the organs and entities linked to the Federal Executive.
Mark had already been presented Ministers at the ministerial meeting led by President Lula last Tuesday (26).
