The government of Vietnam He gave Cuba a donation of 15 million dollars gathered in a solidarity campaign in which thousands of people and institutions have participated so far.
The initiative promoted by the Vietnamese Red Cross began in mid -August with the aim of supporting the island in the middle of the deep energy crisis and shortage of basic products it suffers, reported the agency EFE.

According to its organizers, the collection exceeded all expectations because only three days after announced had joined almost 10 million dollars, a figure that grew on August 19 to 13 millionfive times more than the initial goal.
Among the contributions, the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi, donated by Fidel Castro in 1973 and opened in 1981 to serve soldiers and populations affected by war.
The top Vietnamese leader, to LAM, was present at the donation’s delivery act with Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canelwho is an official visit in Hanoi, where on Tuesday he will participate in the military parade for the National Vietnam Day.
The donation collection campaign will run until October 16. It is a sample of the “historical solidarity” that Vietnam and Cuba maintain, and coincides with the 65th anniversary of bilateral relations.
Díaz-Canel began his agenda in Hanoi this Sunday, and among his main activities of the day was the visit to a drug factory, as well as meetings with leaders of the Vietnam Communist Party (PCV).

Experts point out that the Asian nation has become the second commercial partner of Cuba and the main investor of Asia-Pacific.
Vietnam is an important rice supplier that consumes Cuba, as well as chemicals, textiles and electronic elements, and matters fundamentally from the island pharmaceutical products.
