cromo

The Communist Party of Uruguay (PCU) expressed himself about the Russian invasions in Europe, and blamed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Ukraineaccording to a statement released Tuesday.

“You cannot ignore the constant expansionist and warlike desire that North American imperialism, and its European NATO partners, apply constantly, as they have done against Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, Libya and many other countries,” he said in a text.

And I add: “In Ukraine this policy was developed uninterruptedlyespecially since the 2014 coup d’état with the overthrow of the constitutional president by fascist paramilitary forces and militants from far-right organizations, who always raised a position of confrontation with Russiacontrary to part of the population and especially to regions with a majority of Russian inhabitants”.

“For 8 years, and after having signed the Minsk agreements, Ukraine’s coup government systematically attacked these republics and their citizens, causing enormous damage and the death of more than 15,000 people,” he recalled.. “In this context, Ukraine insisted on its incorporation into NATO, a proposal that was very well received in this area,” the PCU stressed.

On the other hand, the current war involves “enormous dangers to world peace,” he said.

And he added: “In its more than 100 years of history, the PCU has defended peace as an unbreakable principle. We did it, we do it and we will continue to do it. The life of the people is what is always at stake, and this It is a phrase, it is the life of children, men, women, the elderly and respect for human rights and for this we reject the Russian military invasion,” he said.

“These days Russia and Ukraine hold several official meetings and announce that they will continue. We affirm that this is the obligatory path, to find peace and ensure that the war can be defeated,” he concluded.
