“They stop all this nightmare”: Nahuel Gallo’s couple demands their immediate freedom

Clarín: Maduro's government had issued papers for the gendarme to travel to Venezuela

Gallo’s couple insisted on the innocence of the Gendarme, who already has more than 260 days in forced disappearance, without contact with the family and without consular help

María Alexandra Gómez, a couple of the Argentine gendarme Nahuel Agustín Gallo, asked Nicolás Maduro and Diosdado Cabello to end “all this nightmare” and free the father of his son.

In one publication in social networksGomez asked Chavista officials to do the “right” because he needs to know where he is and how he is.

“Once again I demand the immediate freedom of Nahuel Agustín Gallo, illegally and arbitrarily detained at the Migration headquarters of San Antonio del Táchira in Venezuela, when his only intention was to come to look for us and know the democratic country that they say so much is Venezuela,” he said this Sunday, August 31.

He insisted on the innocence of Gallo, who already has more than 260 days in forced disappearance, without contact with the family and without consular help.

Nahuel is innocent and has 266 days in forced disappearance, he has no contact with his family, he has no consular help, he has no assistance of lawyers. From 12/08/2024, all their human and fundamental rights have been violated.

Nahuel Gallo, first Cape of the Argentine National Gendarmerie, was arrested on December 8, when the “Francisco de Paula Santander” international bridge crossed. Subsequently, on December 16, the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, confirmed his arrest -after eight days of reporting his forced disappearance -and assured that he came to the country “to carry out an operation” to take out the six opponents who were refugees in the Argentine Embassy in Caracas.

In July, within the framework of the 66 Mercosur Summit that was held in Argentina, President Javier Milei spoke on the case of Gallo and also for political prisoners in Venezuela.

«Nor can we turn a blind eye with the numerous cases of illegal arrests in Venezuela, these are persons deprived of their liberty in violation of any type of law and we demand its prompt liberation. In particular we reiterate our firm claim for the immediate release of the Argentine Gendarme Nahuel Gallo, ”he said in his speech during the plenary session of leaders.

*Journalism in Venezuela is exercised in a hostile environment for the press with dozens of legal instruments arranged for the punishment of the word, especially the laws “against hatred”, “against fascism” and “against blockade.” This content was written taking into consideration the threats and limits that, consequently, have been imposed on the dissemination of information from within the country.
