Santo Domingo.- The Campocorto de los Tampa Bay Rays, Wander Franco, This Thursday received a car of no place in the judicial process he faced for alleged illegal firearm.
The decision was issued by the judge Ángel Valentín, of the Court of Instruction of San Juan de la Maguana.
The case dates back to November 2024, when Franco It was arrested after an altercation in a residential area of that province.
During the arrest, the authorities found a firearm in the vehicle in which he moved, without the corresponding permits, which motivated that last June he was formally accused by the Public Ministry.
When resolving, the judge determined that there were no sufficient merits to send the case to Fund judgment.
With this resolution, the imposed coercion measures and a new criminal prosecution is prevented for the same fact, in accordance with article 304 of the Criminal Procedure Code. However, the ruling can be appealed by the Attorney General’s Office.
So far, the Public Ministry of San Juan de la Maguana NOr has reported whether the decision will resort.
It should be noted that Franco faces another judicial process in the country: An appeal against the sentence that sentenced him in Puerto Plata to two years in prison suspended by sexual abuse of a minor.
