The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, delivered on Thursday the “Milician Cruz” in its first class, to this fifth component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
From the Militia Command Centerin the parish January 23, Caracas, Maduro said that “I am proud of the role that all of you, militia and militiamen” in defense of the homeland.
Maduro reiterated that those who make themselves deserving of recognition like this, “the country puts in her chest to follow the battle of Victoria in Victoria.”
The president said that this component of the armed force has been built with strategic vision to guarantee peace, sovereignty and cohesion of the country before any adverse circumstance.
In parallel, Major General, Orlando Romero Bolívar, general commander of the Bolivarian militia, expressed his support for Maduro, given the recent threats of the Trump administration.
“We, in perfect popular-military fusion, never forget that the love of the homeland is the first, that together we will overcome, because our destiny is to succeed,” he said.
Militia to the Peace Quadrants
Maduro announced the integration of the Bolivarian National Militia to the peace quadrants, so that they are in the 5,336 communal circuits, in order to exercise the integral defense of the nation.
