8 thousand 122 people have died from Covid-19 and 758 thousand 312 have been infected with this disease

Tomorrow marks two years of the arrival of the first case of coronavirus in the country and the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that from that date to today 8,122 people have died from this virus; while 758,312 have tested positive for this disease.

The Minsa epidemiological report reveals that in the last 24 hours they detected 382 new infections and reported three deaths, updating one from previous dates. They also detailed that during these two years of the pandemic, 747,160 have recovered, of which 461 are newly recovered. 7,350 tests were applied for a positivity of 5.2%.

While the active cases total 3,030, of them 2,881 are in home isolation and 149 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 2,843 at home and 38 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 127 in the ward and 22 in the ICU.

Regarding vaccination, the Minsa highlighted that have applied 7,735,313 doses of vaccines against Covid-19. Of them, 3,384,833 they have been placed in the first dose; 2,964,968 in second dose and 1,371,513 reinforcement.

The coverage of the target population with the first dose is 85.3%; with second dose 74.7% and with booster dose 51.4%.
