The activity was carried out within the framework of the official mission that seeks to strengthen economic and commercial ties between the two nations, being organized collaboratively between the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in JapanJetro and Prodominicana.
The event was attended by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Beicho who gave the opening words together with Mr. Takuma Miyayi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan.

He stressed that only in 2024, Dominican exports to Japan experienced an increase of 90.5 %compared to 2023, highlighting growth in medicine instruments and devices 135.5 %, cocoa in grain 121.7 %, in addition to products such as optical instruments 40.6 million dollars, cocoa 9.2 million dollars and Pharmaceutical products 6.2 million dollars.
