However, Portugal said that the effects of the Judgment of the TC may be applied to the three investigations that the Prosecutor’s Office has open against President Boluarte.
In addition, he indicated that the sentence establishes that only the head of State can be investigated for the crimes contained in article 117 of the Political Charter, that is, by closing the Congress unconstitutionally, for preventing the elections, for preventing the functioning of the electoral organizations and for betrayal of the homeland.
On the other hand, the lawyer pointed out that the sentence of the High Court prohibits the Public Ministry from executing measures such as seizure, the survey of communications secrecy, raid or tests to witnesses in cases involved in the head of state.
