This Wednesday, August 20, the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), on behalf of the Government, said a Strategic Meeting with the State Chinese Company Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
The appointment occurred within the framework of Colombia’s link to the Strip and the Silk route, with the purpose of strengthening bilateral cooperation in rail and logistics matters.

The president of the ANI, Óscar Torres Yarzagaray, accompanied by his team of technical and structuring advisors, held a dialogue with Xia QuingtaoGeneral Manager of CCECC, about the opportunities for collaboration in the development of trains and large infrastructure projects for Colombia.
For the ANI, among the priorities is to advance in a country agreement between Colombia and China, which allows to materialize the structuring of the interoceanic projectone of the most relevant bets of the national government.

This corridor seeks to connect the Pacific Ocean with the Atlantic, where it is projected to mobilize 25 million tons of load a yearturning Colombia into a strategic axis of regional and global connectivity.
And it is that participation in the strip and the Silk route represents for Colombia new financing opportunitiesTechnological transfer and international cooperation, consolidating its role as there is logistics and commercial in Latin America.

In this regard, the president of the ANI said that: “We are taking firm steps to Take advantage of our integration into the Silk Route. This will allow us to develop world -size infrastructure and position Colombia in international trade as never before”
