The House of Representatives approved urgent request For the bill that creates rules for the protection of children and adolescents during the use of applications, games, social networks and other computer programs.
THE Bill 2628/22 It stipulates obligations to suppliers and ensures access control by parents and guardians. With the approval of the urgency, the project may be voted in the plenary without passing before the commissions.
The mayor, Hugo Motta, has already announced his intention to vote on the proposal on Wednesday (20), shortly after the general commission that will discuss the issue in the plenary.

Nicknamed ECA Digital in reference to the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA), the text requires digital platforms to take “reasonable” measures to prevent risks of children and adolescents access illegal content or considered inappropriate for these age groups.
The bill entered the House’s agenda this week after the repercussion of the video of influencer Felca Bressanim Pereira, who denounced the use of profiles on social networks with children and adolescents in situations considered inappropriate for age in order to get engagement and monetization of their channels.
Authored by Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), the bill was reported in the House by Deputy Jadyel Alencar (Republicans-PI) and has the support of hundreds of civil society organizations that work with the protection of children and adolescents in Brazil.
