He indicated that, according to the study “Training of Human Talent against the current and future demand of the Dominican Republic”, the 45 % of the university registration It is concentrated in careers such as education, psychology, accounting, medicine and lawthat record the lower salary growth, while only the 12 % are enrolled in high -employability areas and remuneration, such as Steam and languages.

Advocation with labor demand
The Anje He warned that this disconnection between academic offer and business demand has direct effects on youth employability. 54 % of companies find difficulties in hiring qualified personnel, and 38 % invest a significant amount in training to level competencies.
He stressed that this reality is also reflected in the findings of the study entitled “Best practices for the impulse of youth labor (first job) in the Dominican Republic”, which positions the country as the third in Latin America with the highest proportion of young people who neither study or work, with 26.6 % in ages of 15 to 24 years.
