Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) opened on Monday (18) deadline for the final allegations of the defendants of core 4 of the coup plot, which would have operated to keep former president Jair Bolsonaro in power even after defeat at the polls in October 2022.
The defendants of this nucleus are accused by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to organize misinformation actions to propagate false news about the electoral process and virtual attacks on institutions and authorities that year.
With the opening of the deadline for the allegations, the PGR will have 15 days to defend the conviction of the accused. Then, the defendants’ defenses will have the same deadline to submit arguments against the conviction. The last step will be the marking of the trial date.
