SANTO DOMINGO.- LA General Directorate of Public Contracts (DGCP) He reported Monday that he suspended 38 records of state suppliers (RPE) ex officio Officials of first and second hierarchical level, for being within the disabilities regime provided for in article 14 of Law 340-06 on purchases and public hiring.
Among the suspended records through resolution no. DGCP44-2025-002579 are ministers, vice ministers, directors, deputy director, legal consultants, mayors, mayors and councilors, which are legally prevented To be bidders or supply goods, works or services to state institutions, as established by current regulations.
In a statement, the entity indicated that the measure is the result of a Systematic Crossing Information made by the departments of verification and supplier management.
The governing body said that these suspensions are preventive measures adopted to guarantee the integrity of the State Supplier Registry and are part of the information crosses that are carried out on a regular basis, with the objective of prevent possible conflicts of interest and strengthen control in public procurement processes.
In that sense, the Director General of Public Contracts, Carlos Pimentelhe reiterated that this measure does not constitute an administrative sanctionbut a preventive action aimed at protecting the integrity of the public purchasing system and ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework.
“The timely detection and the institutional response in situations that may compromise transparency are fundamental pillars in the surveillance work exercised by the DGCP in compliance with its legal mandate,” said Pimentel.
The records were suspended in the Electronic Public Contracting System (SECP)as established by the corresponding administrative act.
The DGCP reported that, during this management, 567 provider records have been suspendedin strict compliance with article 14 of Law 340-06, thus reinforcing the institutional commitment to legality, public ethics and the fight against conflicts of interest.
