Congressman Jorge Montoya (Popular Renovation) reported that they obtained 50 signatures to present the motion for vacancy against President Pedro Castillo. In addition, he stressed that the Popular Action bench, Peru Libre, Together for Peru and the congressmen of the Purple Party did not sign the measure.
“The vacancy motion was presented with 50 signatures, which are basically from the Popular Renovation, Popular Force, and Avanza Country benches and some congressmen from other benches, from Alianza Para el Progreso there are five, from Somos Perú there are two,” Montoya reported.

The Popular Renovation spokesperson indicated that the administrative process of the vacancy presentation implies the verification of the signatures that it includes. “But the task of presenting the vacancy motion has already been fulfilled, now it will be reported in plenary today or tomorrow and the date will be set for the president to come and speak,” projection.
Along these lines, Montoya stressed that this measure against Castillo is “an issue of moral vacancy” that includes 20 points that must be debated in plenary.
