The National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN), attached to the presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), is going through a serious budgetary crisis that could generate the stoppage of at least 157 works nationwide, putting key projects such as riparian defenses, hospitals and health centers.
According to experts consulted by fourth power, they need 3 billion soles that the Ministry of Economy and Finance has not delivered. This situation would put the paralysis of key works and dismissal of thousands of workers at risk.
Raúl Barrios, representative of the CCL construction and engineering guild, indicated that at least 80% of works nationwide will be harmed. “157 works that the ANIN has to be paralyzed. Others that are about to end, about 98% too, the damage is strong”he said.
