A couple It was arrested by falsify and market works of art by teacher Carlos Cruz Diez.
This was reported by the director of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc), Douglas Rico.

Scams with falsified works
The detainees were identified as Lino José Bermúdez Guacuto, 50, and his wife, Fanny Margarita Oliveros López, 55. The procedure was carried out in the municipality Baruta, from the Miranda state.
The couple was dedicated to “cheating with the falsification of works by Maestro Carlos Cruz Diez,” Rico said.
The investigations determined that Bermúdez dedicated himself to studying the life and work of the teacher to orchestrate his crimes. He detailed each of Cruz Ten’s works to imitate them and then market them as authentic, said the director of the Cicpc.
On the other hand, his wife contacted the clients who pointed out that the works had obtained them through a paternal inheritance and that they cost about 90 thousand dollars.
After specifying sales, Bermúdez spent money on games of chance, losing the entire scammed amount.
During the arrest, two art replicas entitled Physicromia were seized. They also had 28 bottles of paintings, paper tingros, brushes, cardboard cuts, nails, two documents owned by the works of art, oils of oil paintings and, a statement issued by the Carlos Cruz Diez foundation, indicating that these works were false.
The couple was at the order of the Public Ministry.
