The Chancellor of the Republic Yván Gil, expressed in the name of President Nicolás Maduro and the National Government, a note of thanks to the Group of friends in defense of the Charter of the United Nations Organizationto the national president, before the recent aggressions of the United States against the Venezuelan authorities.
In his account in the social network Telegram, the Foreign Minister expressed the gratitude of the Venezuelan government for the statement in solidarity with Venezuela “and his firm rejection of the military threats of the United States.”
Gil highlights that this new aggression against the Venezuelan president is based on “in criminalization narratives manufactured and lacking from the basis”, as seen in the accusations of the US prosecutor Pamela Bondi, who accused President Maduro from crimes without presenting any evidence.
The overwhelming statement of the group of friends in defense of the UN Charter, reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with the people and national government, founding member of this group and with its inalienable right to freely determine its own political, economic, and social direction, without pressures, threats or external coercion and in peace.
In addition, they recognize Venezuela’s efforts in the fight against the world drug problem, in line with their pertinent national and international obligations.
The statement of this group of countries adds to the many demonstrations of national and international solidarity with President Maduro, and in rejection of American interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela.
