Ayacucho: Serenos rescue mono found in the streets of San Juan Bautista

During a routine patrol, Serenazgo staff rescued a monkey who wandered through the Jirón Miraflores de Puca Puca, Ayacucho. The finding caused surprise among the neighbors, who alerted the authorities to prevent the animal from running danger in public roads.

Immediately, the agents transferred the primate to the Environment Division of the National Police of Peru in Ayacucho, where specialists will be responsible for their evaluation and shelter. The measure seeks to ensure that the animal receives adequate attention and avoid risks in the urban area.

Authorities recalled that the presence of wildlife in urban areas is usually linked to the loss of habitat, poaching or illegal possession of animals as pets. In that sense, they urged citizens to collaborate in the protection of biodiversity and respect conservation standards.
