Arrested in Apure five Colombians with firearms

In an operation of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) arrested five Colombian citizens who entered Venezuelan territory with firearms. The information was disseminated by the Secretary of Citizen Security of the State Apure, Ramón Cabeza, through his social networks.

The capture was made on August 10, 2025, in the Citizen Care (PAC) of the José Antonio Páez International Bridge, in Guasdualito. The detainees were identified as Omar Lisandro Delgadillo Rincón, Mayiled Bustos Perdomo, Willian Rodríguez Rojas, Camilo Humberto Vanegas Otalora and Diana María Viloria Blanco.

During the arrest, the military seized three standard córdova brand guns, 9mm caliber, with their loaders, 54 cartridges of the same caliber, three bulletproof vests, three portable communication radios and two laptops.

The five individuals moved in a shielded Toyota Prado truck, with Colombian plates, and carried six cell phones. According to preliminary investigations, its destiny was the town of El Amparo, in the Páez municipality of the Apure state.

The security authorities in the Apure state have intensified the deployments to counteract any threat that may affect the sovereignty, security and peace of the Venezuelan territory.

The detainees and the seized evidence were placed at the order of the Public Ministry for the corresponding investigations.
