Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensk will meet with President Trump on Monday at the White House after Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in Alaska.
Trump spoke with Zelenski and with European leaders aboard the Air Force One, after his face -to -face meeting with Putin in Alaska. “We have all decided that the best way to put an end to the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine is to reach a peace agreement, which would end the war, and not to a simple high agreement to the fire, which often does not hold,” Trump published in Truth social at dawn on Saturday.
“President Zelenski will come to Washington DC, to the Oval Office, on Monday afternoon. If everything goes well, we will schedule a meeting with President Putin,” he added.
Zelenski expressed his support for a trilateral meeting between the three world leaders in a publication on the social platform X. “President Trump reported on his meeting with the Russian leader and the main points of his discussion,” he wrote.
“It is important that the United States strength influences the development of the situation.” On Monday I will meet with President Trump in Washington, DC, to discuss all the details about the end of the killing and war. I appreciate the invitation, ”he added.
Trump said the meeting contributed advances, but no agreement was reached on a fire. He offered few details about what both leaders argued.
