The Venezuelan Education-Human Rights Education Program (PROPERA) reported on Friday afternoon that an amparo action was introduced in favor of the lawyer Eduardo Torres, “for the constant violation of due process and right to defense.”
Amparo’s action was delivered to the Court of Appeals with competence in terrorismhe indicated supply in a publication on social networks. In demand, the organization indicates to the TRIBUNAL Special Third (3rd) First instance against terrorism to deny «permanently »the appointment and oath of Torres’ trust lawyers.
With this, he said, the Article 49 of the Constitution, article 14.3.b of the International Pact of Civil and Political Rights and the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.

The supply lawyer was arrested around Central Park, in Caracas, after leaving a meeting. Days later, specifically on May 13, the attorney general, Tarek William Saab, confirmed his capture and accused him of conspiracy, terrorism, betrayal of the homeland and association.
Saab also linked it with alleged plans to sabotage the regional elections that took place on May 25. The workers’ defender is beneficiary of precautionary protection measures granted by the Inter -American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) due to the threats and acts of harassment he has suffered in his work within Prova.
