Botafogo qualified for the final of the Brazilian Women’s A2 Championship after defeating Fortaleza 5-4 in the penalty shootout (after a 1-1 draw in regulatory time), on Friday night (15) at the Nilton Santos Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, in a match back from the semifinals of the competition broadcast live by TV Brazil.

The Gloriososa secured the place in the decision of the competition because, in the confrontation, drew 2-2 with the lionesses in a confrontation held at the Presidente Vargas stadium, in the capital of Ceará.
Botafogo opened the scoring at 14 of the first half thanks to a great goal by midfielder Bia, who hit a very strong kick from the entrance of the area.
