The minimum guaranteed income (IMG)promoted by the mayor of Bogotá through the Ministry of Social Integration, it is one of the most important tools to reduce the gaps of inequality and guarantee the food security of the most vulnerable population in the city. In the program update, what homes and people are benefited?
The update of this monetary transfers program to homes in poverty, implemented from November 2024, is designed to reach more effectively priority groups: Older adults, people with disabilities and young people on productive inclusion routes.
To this end, the initiative incorporated additional criteria to move towards more focused aid, with principles of progressivity and co -responsibility, maintaining assistance in households in extreme poverty, for whom their income increases in case of including beneficiaries of prioritized groups.

• Sisbén Homes A: They continue as a priority group. They receive monthly transfers and, if they have old, young people in productive inclusion or people with disabilities, obtain additional amounts.
• Sisbén B homes: They no longer receive unconcerned transfers. They only access the benefit if they have older people, young people on employability routes or people with disabilities. The aid is delivered directly to the individual beneficiary.
• Homes of Sisbén C (C1 A C9): They enter differentially, only if there are older people (C1), young people in inclusion programs or people with disabilities.
• New groups included: People who were in programs such as the exchangeable bonus for food or financial support for adults, as well as those who chose to receive monetary transfer from the waiting list, are now part of the IMG.
In addition to establishing various components that encourage productive inclusion, nutritional development and education of children and young “Pagadiarios.”
In this way, the District Administration reinforces with a more equitable Bogotá, where economic support is combined with real opportunities to improve the living conditions of families.
