The Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported on Thursday, August 14 about the “seizure, search of a shed with an arsenal of different explosives of high power” in the Anzoátegui state. He said: “They have more than 1,500 kilos of explosives” and said they ordered an investigation.
Cabello added that these explosive alleged were stored in sheds of oil companies, which they assured have been negotiations with Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), and explained that what is allowed for these companies and their uses in hydrocarbons is just 50 kilos and no more than 100 electric detonators.
He advanced on the search, in another state, this August 14, on another shed with explosives.
Cabello explained that one of the explosives found is the HMX, which pointed out «is the explosive of more speed in diffusion. In a second, the expansive wave of this reaches 9.1 kilometers ».
