The Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported the seizure of more than 1,500 kilos of explosives in a shed located in El Tigre, Simón Rodríguez municipality of the Anzoátegui state.
He indicated that after the finding made in the state sheds Monagas The investigations led to this shed belonging to a company that is eight years old without hiring with Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
He recalled that the limit of explosive material allowed for these companies is 50 kilos and 100 electric detonators. “No oil company can have more than 50 kilos of explosives. Whoever has more is suspicious about its use and marketing and we as a government are obliged to guarantee the peace of the country,” he said.
Among the seized material are: 6,769 hollow cargo elements, 724 cutters, 220 electric detonators, 128 peletts type explosives, 33 Frho, 12 boxes to plug and additional 27 explosives, detonating cord.
He showed an 18 kilos detonator containing HMK, a rapid diffusion explosive. “In a second, the expansive wave of this reaches 9.1 kilometers.”
He also stated that in case of exploiting all the seized material, he would have a lethal impact of 911 meters and the sparks would reach 1,200 meters.
Regarding the company that owns the shed where the finding occurred, he said that it is striking that this amount of material has when you have not hired the Venezuelan state for years.
“Then one reviews and begins to add and realizes that the links are not good. They come from that disastrous character named Juan Guaidó and stayed here with what remained of that, which is worse than Juan Guaidó.”
He indicated that in the shed the cameras and computers were taken, however, the security agencies found them and the corresponding experts are being carried out to determine why they were taken and what information they keep.
“When you check who the owners are, who is the legal consultant of the company, the links they have with the extremist sectors of ‘La Sayona’ (María Corina Machado), then everything is very clear and that is part of this investigation,” he said after specifying that 18 people have been arrested.
In that context, regarding the latest seizures, he announced that “a thorough investigation has been ordered to review the blast in Muscar (gas complex where an explosion occurred in November 2024) and in the Barbacoa sector, where some time ago there was an explosion, damaging 600 meters of pipes”.
“We continue to work. Today we are raising another shed,” said the Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, who indicated that they will soon give the details.
